On the left side of the photo,  captured by a NASA satellite, you can see how the Okjökull glacier was in 1986, when it had already begun to melt

On the right, the image of the same area captured on August 1, 2019. There is only hielo️ ice left in the crater of the volcano

The glacier was declared dead in 2014

 A century ago it measured 38 square kilometers and was up to 50 meters thick. In 2019 there is less than a square kilometer, in the crater of the volcano, with a thickness of just 14 meters

Leo Houlding is in Guyana to fulfill his childhood dream: free climbing the tip of Mt. Roraima (2,810 m), located in the Amazon rain forest
Houlding, 39, is one of the best climbers in Britain. His expedition to Mount Roraima will last a month and aims to free climb a 600-meter wall at the tip of
The expedition, which began on November 4.
Only to get to the base of the mountain, the team will have to travel 50 km through the jungle.
Currently the team is doing the approach trek, with 6 local guides leading the way into the jungle. The summit is scheduled for December 5th.
Houlding leads a team of alpinists Anna Taylor,  Wilson Cutbirth and  Waldo Etherington.
Mt. Roraima, on the border between Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana, has a flat top.
It climbed for the first time in 1973 by the British Hamish MacInnis, Joe Brown, Don Whillans & Mo Anthoine.

ON THE TOP OF THE BEAUTIFUL HIMALAYAN MOUNTAINS, UNFURLED A 100-METER FLAG

A few days ago, on the top of the Ama Dablam (6,813 meters), a huge flag was deployed.

The flag had a length of 100 and a width of 30 meters, the weight  was about 150 kilograms.
In order to bring such a load to the top of the mountain, the flag was divided into 6 parts of 25 kg and was assembled together on the mountain.

At the same time,  famous Nirmal Purja  noted that he and his team “carry out on Ama Dablam one of the most risky and difficult missions in his life”; Nirmal did not specify the essence of this mission, saying that he would soon publish details; however, given that he and the team climbed the summit of Ama Dablam just on the day the flag of Kuwait was deployed, it is likely that these events are interconnected ...

This event was reported by the Nepali Times, signing the photo as: "The Italian expedition deployed the huge flag of their country on top. It was visible from Kumjung", but As you can see, the colors are similar, but the flag  is clearly not the Italian one.
It is worth saying that such actions are, in essence, a new form of "mountain pollution"

Mick Fowler and Victor Saunders have returned to the UK after being repelled for a second time this year by the still

unclimbed 6,362m Himalayan mountain Chombu. After overcoming numerous permit challenges, bad weather and terrible climbing conditions, Mick and Vic climbed to within 250 metres of the summit before succumbing to food poisoning. During the Berghaus sponsored expedition, despite the huge disappointment of not topping out, Mick was able to definitively establish that using a colostomy bag will not limit his Himalayan climbing ambitions.

DEATH IN EVEREST REGION

A French national trekking in the Everest region has been found dead in Lobuche of Everest region
The trekker has been identified as 72-year-old Armoud Hibach. He was found dead in his room at  Hotel on Tuesday
His body was airlifted on an Air Dynasty helicopter to Kathmandu Police say that he might have died due to altitude sickness
