GASHERBRUM 1 ... Winter2020

Yesterday, the morning was very cold with -31ºC, but the day has been sunny.

Third day on the Glacier, to make 10 km between cracks, seracs and fragile ice bridges. Today they have climbed a few hundred meters more and almost manage to reach the plateau of C1. But, just at the entrance, they ran into a huge crack that went from side to side and 2.5 m in its narrowest part, impossible to jump.

They have descended and tomorrow they plan to travel about 8.5 km to pick up a ladder they saw on the glacier, which will help them cross that crack and, if all goes well, finally reach C1.
